Consent

By voluntarily providing your personal data to us under the 7modalities programme, you consent to TOF’s collection, use and disclosure of your personal data in accordance with this Policy.

Personal data will generally be obtained directly from the individual. In the case of children (below 18 years of age), personal data will be collected from either their parents or guardians, unless specific and/or unusual circumstances require that the collection be made directly from the child concerned. We do not collect personal data from children below the age of 13.

You may withdraw your consent to any collection, use or disclosure of your personal data by contacting our Data Protection Officer at the contact details are listed below.

In the event you withdraw your consent to TOF for the use and disclosure of your personal data, we shall cease to process your personal data within 10 business days upon receiving your written withdrawal request. Please note that once consent is withdrawn, we may not be able to fulfil our pastoral care or services to you.

Disclosure of personal data

We may, from time to time, disclose your personal data to our members or representatives for the purposes mentioned above.

TOF has a network of partner churches and partner organisations based overseas. Unless you voluntarily sign up for a mission trip or overseas event (e.g. church camps or outdoor activities, etc.), your personal data will not be transferred overseas.

TOF may also be required under the applicable law to disclose your personal data to regulators, courts/tribunals and governmental authorities of a competent jurisdiction.

We will not sell or disclose your personal data to any third parties for direct marketing purposes without your prior consent.

Protection of personal data

For example, we limit the access to your personal data to church leaders on a “need-to-know” basis; and we take technological measures such as the password protection of certain files containing personal data; using “blind carbon copy (bcc)” field instead of the “to” or “carbon copy (cc)” fields when sending mass emails.

We shall ensure that all members and volunteers are aware of the importance of protecting the confidentiality of personal data.

We shall ensure that care is taken when personal data is disposed of or destroyed (e.g. shredding of hardcopy documents) to prevent unauthorised parties from gaining access to that personal data.
